We run a welcoming programme of youth groups, parent and carer support groups, LGBTQ+ family meet-ups, social activities, and events designed to support LGBTQ+ families, LGBTQ+ young people and the people who care about them. Whether you're a young person exploring your identity, a parent or carer looking for guidance, or a family wanting to connect with others, you'll find a safe, inclusive space where everyone is welcome, wherever they are on their journey.

Leicester LGBTQ+ Youth Group
WHEN: Every Monday

WHO: Ages 13-17
A safe and supportive space for LGBTQ+ young people to meet and be themselves in Leicester. Our groups include games, activities, workshops, and a quiet space on offer, providing a range of options for young people to choose from.

Young Adult Social Group (18-30s)

WHO: Ages 18-30
A brand new social and craft group for queer people aged 18-30 to connect, create, and find community.
Our Young Adult Social is a safe space for anyone under the LGBTQ+ umbrella or those questioning to drop in, socialise, and make friends. Whether you are interested in crafts, games, or just sitting chatting, this group has something for everyone.
Activities include zine-making, badge-making, board games, video games, collaging, jewelry-making, playing pool and more!

Strong Ties (For Loved Ones of Trans+ Individuals)
WHEN: First Monday of each month
TIME: 6pm-8pm
WHERE: Leicestershire LGBTQ+ Centre. Access via BACK GATE on Chancery Street.
Strong Ties is a peer support group for loved ones of transgender people (often parents, siblings or partners). It is a safe space for people to share their experiences and learn from each other, asking questions and discussing useful resources, guided by a trained facilitator. After 90 minutes of discussion, there is then time for attendees to socialise more informally with each other over refreshments.

A warm, welcoming space for parents and carers to meet, share experiences, and access guidance on supporting LGBTQ+ young people.
Being the parent or carer of an LGBTQ+ young person can bring questions, emotions, or new experiences. You don’t have to navigate them alone — come and build community with others on a similar journey.

Rainbow Families (For LGBTQ+ Families)

WHERE: Leicestershire LGBTQ+ Centre. Access via BACK GATE on Chancery Street.
This group provides a safe and supportive community for LGBTQ+ families in all their shapes and sizes to meet up and enjoy each other’s company. Come along and enjoy something for all the family. There are a variety of toys and activities for children, whilst parents can enjoy conversation over a warm cup of tea!

Groups are run on a drop-in basis, so there is no need to book or register - just turn up!
Daytime groups at the Centre are accessible by the main reception, and evening groups at the Centre are accessible by the back gate on Chancery Street.

Our services are open to anyone under the LGBTQ+ umbrella, including those who are questioning. Don’t worry if you are feeling nervous and want to bring a friend or loved one to support you - all are welcome. Youth groups are for ages 13-17. Other groups are 18+
